What Is Singer of Storms?

Bring the ocean into your faction with Age of Wonders 4 Singer of Storms, a content pack that adds water-unit recruitment, an amphibious mount, and a Lightning weapon built around Electrified. Released on October 1, 2026, it unlocks immediately with Expansion Pass 4. Its gameplay additions give you specific tools for shaping a storm-themed army and fighting at sea.

The pack includes:

Tidecallers: Water Units and Sea-Battle Reinforcements

Tidecallers lets your cities draft a range of water-themed units. It also brings a random water-themed unit into your ranks whenever a battle begins at sea.

Those are two distinct benefits: recruitment gives you units to build around, while the sea-battle effect adds a random participant when combat starts. Keep that randomness in mind when choosing your army composition.

Build your core force to handle its assigned fight, then use the arriving unit to supplement it. Once the sea battle begins, inspect the newcomer’s abilities before committing your opening moves. Its role should shape how you use it.

The terrain trigger matters here: the additional unit arrives for battles at sea. Account for that condition when planning a campaign around the trait.

Tempest Orb: Lightning Damage and Electrified

The Tempest Orb deals Lightning Damage and has an inherent chance to apply Electrified. Its Tempest’s Chorus passive adds Lightning Damage whenever Electrified is applied.

That interaction makes status application part of the weapon’s damage plan. Pay attention to whether Electrified lands when evaluating an attack; the passive rewards successful applications.

Use the orb’s Electrified chance as part of your attack planning, while allowing for an unsuccessful application. A chance-based effect gives you an opportunity, so keep another way to finish a target available when the fight demands it.

The pack adds Tempest Orb hero loadouts for Champions, Wizard Kings, and Elder Vampire Hybrids, along with the Tempest Orb magic weapon for the Item Forge.

Storm Seamare: An Amphibious Exotic Mount

The Storm Seamare is an Amphibious Exotic Mount that changes form between land and sea. Its appearance carries the pack’s storm theme, with lightning and frost rolling from its hide.

Choose it through the pack’s Exotic Mount Trait when creating an amphibious faction concept. Its defining feature is that land-and-sea transformation, giving the mount a distinct presence across both environments.

Mael and the Singer’s Customization Set

Mael of the Choristers of the Storm is the pack’s premade ruler. Her background ties her birth to a tempest where the ocean meets the sky, making her a ready-made character for a storm-themed campaign.

For a custom ruler, the Singer of Storms set includes:

• Singer’s Crown
• Singer’s Outfit
• Singer’s Cape

Wear the complete set or combine individual pieces with other customization items. These cosmetics are available to Champions and Wizard Kings, and the Singer of Storms customization items also support both Pureblood and Hybrid Vampires.

What Came With the Free Witch Update?

Singer of Storms launched alongside the free Witch Update on October 1, 2026. That release used game version 1.016.001.125730 and added a separate collection of witch-themed options:
